Prairie Technologies, Ag Innovation Showcase presenter (2009) and NIH Commercialization Assistance Program alumnus (2011), provides advanced optical fluorescence microscopes to life science researchers, specifically for neurobiology and cell biology. They are also the pioneer of the first commercial two-photon system designed for simultaneous imaging and uncaging using two lasers. Prairie Technologies, was founded in 1996, first received research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 1997 and subsequently received other SBIR and STTR awards. In a recent update from Michael Szulczewski, President of Prairie Technologies, Michael shared the news on the company’s acquisition by Bruker Corporation. The acquisition is to strengthen Bruker’s position in life science markets, adding to the Bruker’s existing life science microscopy division.
